POEM- Life Touching Life
I found this poem this week when I was rummaging through files and paper stacks. It was written about and for my daughter 3 days after she was born.
Dark, long, and with a slight curl
The solitary strand caused me to stand
Upright, tense, breathless
The legs of time stood still
Incomprehensible purity, the embodiment of beauty
Exhiliration, anticipation
Life touching life
